Establishment or Strengthening of RECs

OBJECTIVES

To carry out a needs assessment on capacity building on health research ethics
Tool review - assess the adequacy of tools used for proposal submission, review, compliance and monitoring. Check complementarity with MCAZ.
To review legal framework- align mandate of MRCZ with constitution, review mandates of RECs and propose national REC mandate.
To facilitate the development of a list of health research priorities - review role of MRCZ and RECs in contributing to health research prioritisation
